Nick Curly offers up the two-track 'Come Right Back' EP via his and Marc Scholl's Cécille Records at the end of March. Mannheim, Germany's Nick Curly has been at the forefront of the underground House scene for two decades now, initially making his mark with his and Gorge's 8bit imprint which is notably known for shaping the distinctive sound of Mannheim's House Music output. Curly has since gone on to release on the likes of Knee Deep In Sound, Truesoul, Defected, Cocoon and of course Cécille where he makes a welcome return here with this new material. Title cut 'Come Right Back' leads and sees Nick lay down his signature swinging drum groove intertwined with a filtered disco loop, bumpy bass line and choppy stab sequences to create a dance floor focused six and a half minute workout. 'Arkum' then shifts into deeper and darked realms, merging organic percussion and gritty bass stabs with tension building strings and spoken word vocals chops to once again create a loop driven, subtly unfurling peak time tool.

Roy Davis Jr. was part of Phuture and then moved on to New York to record for Strictly Rhythm and DJ Duke's Power Music label. He was one of the main players in the 1990s House Music biz and is still very active until today.

Power Music issued his first long player „The Secret Mission“ and a number of Maxis. Some of his classics got reissued in 1996, sometimes remixed, re-edited and/or a bit faster than the original versions.

This remastered edition contains four of his biggest jams, carefully remastered by Thomas P. Heckmann (TPH). „2B Or Not 2B“ and „Heart Attack“ exist in two different versions, all included as a „digital only“ bonus.

Expect the best Chicago House, „Wild Pitch“ and the New York House sound can offer: Rolling drums, heavy snares, wild filter sweeps and slammin' vocals!

Available on limited vinyl and digital (IR006) Irish electro great Decal was digging back through the archives to find the original edit of Free The Flange for Sunil Sharpe's recent "Dreams Of Electric Bleep" compilation when he found a stash of old electro tracks from 1999-2004 that never quite made it onto any release.

"At the time I'd have been fairly upfront about wanting to release tracks that were faster than most and in a style that wasn't straight electro. Some of these tracks fell into a weird middle ground for me, so they got put aside. It had been 20 years since I'd heard any of them and on listening back I reckoned that time had been kind to them so I started remastering them and uploading to Soundcloud alongside some classic 12" releases from my label Trama Industries.

For me, it was interesting to hear sounds and techniques emerging on some later tracks that would form the basis of my later projects like Legion Of Two and Of One. I'd kinda forgotten about that. Huge thanks to Eddie and Intrinsic Rhythm for suggesting a release and believing in the project"

Amsterdam's Easttown joins the roster of Cécille Records this April with his four-track 'Chaos' EP.
Dutch producer and DJ Easttown debuted in 2018 and has since gone on to release his modern interpretation of a classic
house sound via the likes of the powerhouse ElRow Music, Franky Rizardo's LTF Records, Folamour's House Of Love and
Amsterdam's NEED Music among others. Here, Easttown's latest collection of works comes via Nick Curly and Marc Scholl's
long running Cécille Records and sees the imprint continue to shine a light on the rising talents of the Dutch capital,
following on from EP's by D.Stone and Rooléh.
Leading the EP is title-track 'Chaos', laid out across six minutes with a rolling drum groove, swelling sub bass, an
amalgamation of choppy vocal cuts and swirling filtered synths lines. 'Passion' follows and retains a similarly loop led
aesthetic via a snaking low- end drive and crisp drums, intertwined with ever unfurling sweeping atmospherics and intricate
synth effects.
Opening the flip-side is 'Athletic', veering into more disco infused House territory via a funk tinged bass groove, orgnanic
percussion, jazzy keys, cinematic strings and resonant synth licks. 'Circles' then concludes the EP, laying down crunchy
drums and bouncy plucked bass notes with heavily delayed resonant stabs a hazy underlying atmospheric tension.

The wait is over and the underground viennese label Leap Records serves a brand
new international VA vinyl record and celebrates its 10th release. On board are
Federsen, Anton Kubikov, Mantsche and co-chef Alexander Wirth.
Side A is opened by viennese dub techno producer Mantsche. He released a 4-track
EP on Leap Records in 2021 and is known for his timeless and reggae-influenced
records. Ras Tawny accompanies him vocally.
In addition, the internationally renowned artist Federsen, based in San Francisco, is
featured on the A side. Federsen is a household name for everyone in the scene and
with his analogue equipment and wide music knowledge he brings the Maurizio
flavor back to the present.
Side B represents Anton Kubikov. His music career started in 1994 and Anton
Kubikov has many vinyl releases to date, for example on the labels Tracks, Trapez,
Salo and many others. At this time Anton Kubikov shares the beauty of dub techno
chords, accompanied with a crisp and juicy bass drum.
The last track is a mix of the co-founder of the well-known Innsbruck club Tante
Emma Alexander Wirth and Mantsche. In this case, the Alpine Innsbruck and Vienna
meet and the result is a mix of sunrise dub house with soulful vocals and the extra
vibe of the Round one to five series, which has its origins in the 90s.

Moderna Ignites the Dance Floor with Debut Album "The Future Is Among Us"
Conceived over seven years in Berlin and Mexico City, "The Future Is Among Us" is a sonic tapestry
woven from diverse influences. Each track, produced in a different era, retains its unique character
while seamlessly blending into a cohesive album experience.
The album ignites with "DIE4U," a powerful homage to Prince's iconic "I Would Die 4 U." Moderna
reimagines the timeless sentiment – entirely self-produced and written in Berlin. Layered vocals, a
driving bass line, and a pulsating electro beats that create a controlled yet electrifying atmosphere.
The title track, "The Future Is Among Us," embodies the collaborative spirit at the heart of the album.
Originally conceived before the album was complete, bringing bass lines and a percussive energy
that feels like a declaration that the future is not something to wait for, but something we are actively
creating together on the dance floor.
The album promises a vibrant blend of electronic and dark wave music, showcasing Moderna's
ability to weave together infectious dance floor anthems with deeper, more introspective moments.
This depth is evident in tracks like "Lost at Heart," a collaboration with post-punk artist Skelesys
that transcends genre with its raw emotional vulnerability. The album's ability to seamlessly shift
between these contrasting styles is a testament to Moderna's artistry and her ability to curate a
cohesive listening experience that invites a provocative energy.
Moderna’s impressive career extends beyond this album. Beyond her solo work, she has showcased
her remixing talent on tracks for The Matrix 4 soundtrack and Curses' Next Wave Acid Punx
compilation, collaborated on four EPs with Mexican artist Theus Mago who also contributes to the
album on the dream wave serenade “Blades”.
The album will be released on her ‘Brave New Rave’ imprint which she established in 2019 from her
highly recognized radio show on KCRW Berlin.
